Hi everybody!
As a newcomer of Switzerland, I would like to submit to this community a few questions regarding regulations and obbligations that applies to EU citizens.
1) I've recently been admitted to the Zurich Polytechnic. They sent me among others a paper with this header: "Commitment to leave Switzerland upon completion of studies". Doesn't this contrasts with the provisions contained in the Neirynk initiative?
2) Can I ask for an exemption from the Swiss health insurance, provided that I hold a European Health Insurance card?
3)Evidence of sufficient financial means. How strict is this provision? Do I have to merely prove to possess this sum at the beginning of the academic year or do I have to mantain this sum unchanged on my personal account as a form of guarantee? Can I replace this guarantee with a document attesting that my parents will cover all the expenses, in the region of 21000 francs per year?
4)Finally, a more theoretical question. In your opinion, how will the the swiss referendum of 2014, that introduced the quotas system, affect the job market for EU citizens graduated in loco?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
