I would like to replace taps in my apartment. It's not a lot of work, there are just three of them. The thing is, I cannot locate any water valve in the bathroom (there is one in the kitchen, but it's stuck). There are two in the cellar, but they cut water access to all the apartments on the left and right sides of the building. Is it possible that those are the only way to block the water flow in my bathroom? If so, what is the right thing to do?
1. Ask the neighbors on my side (it's 4 apartments) if they are OK with no water access for an hour or two during the day?
2. Just post a notice on the entrance door or leave a message in their mailboxes ("there will be no water on this-and-this day, sorry for the inconvenience")?
3. Don't inform them and hope they won't notice :D?
I want to hire a plumber for the job (English speaking preferred). Any recommendations in the Zürich area?
