I will soon end my current traineeship at a certain financial company in Zurich, having terminated my contract early. I have worked hard in this period, and my line manager would like to reward me with a very good Arbeitszeugnis. Unfortunately, the responsible HR employee does not want to issue this certificate to me because of the early termination of the contract.
I know that companies in Switzerland are legally obliged to release an Arbeitszeugnis upon request of the employee at any time (Art. 330a OR); however, I will soon leave this company and, also being a vacation period, I fear that I will have to "fight" to obtain this certificate from outside.
Do you know if there is a Swiss government agency or some trade union who can help me?
