Swiss Living Abroad - How to get a passport online

I am living in Austin, TX and my last passport expired. The nearest consulate is in Atlanta, GA. I wonder if anyone can tell me where to look online if I can apply for a passport online.
Whatever the Swiss govt website says the link is dead and I cannot find any information how to apply for a passport, not an ID card online.
