We’re currently looking after a friend of my wife’s who has apparently been kicked out of her Swiss husband’s apartment while she was at work, the same has happened to their adult daughter. She is a legal resident in Switzerland with Permit C. Social services in Geneva and the Permanence juridique are apparently unable or unwilling to help her and Regie has apparently told her she can’t come back. Of course we’ve only heard one side of the story and I know none of the personal background, but even so I imagine she must have some basic rights of access to the conjugal home, it’s as if he wants a separation with no responsibility at all. What’s her best course of action, and where can she go for proper legal advice and for somewhere to live? Any advice that I can pass on would be welcome.
