new to the forum here, in fact no idea where to address this, the reason why i joined.
i just got a letter from billag, written in german but apparently they want me to go online and register with a code etc that they sent me. although i am aware of what they are and think that such a below third world mentality service should be overhauled, i am still willing to pay as i adjust to where i go, however, i will not do it that simple.
first, i read with my limited german here http://ift.tt/1gAdMWu that i do not have to answer any correspondences from them.
again, if they just send me a bill, i pay, but i will not spend 1 minute with online forms, user name and passwords, having to call them etc, so if they want money from me, they can send me a bill, just like the rest of the official documents sent by the government. i do not have time to go to websites with passwords and log ins.
so here is my question. what should be done at this point? just ignore and wait for the regular mail to arrive with a price and i just pay it? again, i pay taxes, and in a developed country like switzerland i expect all official government documentation to be prepared and sent to me, which has been always the case with everything except this billag.
so what to do? ignore this time consuming letter and just wait for the bills? again, as per that article, it appears i do not need to answer. but you guys for sure know better :D
