Problems picking up BBC and other channels

Just before Wimbledon 2015 we started to lose certain channels on our Satellite system from a well known UK Supplier (to whom we pay a monthly fee) and the message always reads "your ___ HD box is not receiving a satellite signal" although we can still see programmes on Channel 5 and lots of American channels. On reading up we find that the BBC and ITV are now using a different Satellite so that the Signal strength to us viewers in Europe is a lot weaker. Just wondering if any of you lovely readers have experienced the same problems and how you've got round it? The HusBot is on the case (slowly - if the new series of Dr Who was on he'd have it sorted but as its only The Great British Bake Off, he's not working at full capacity). As Swisscom is now available in our village (it wasn't when we first arrived so we had to use YKS ;)) that's our first option although we'd lose a lot of the other channels we do enjoy so it's not our favored option. Any advice would be hugely appreciated, I'd like to say I can find many other ways to amuse myself but I'm very sad as I REALLY LOVE AND MISS THE TV (feel better for that confession);)
