Practicalities for watching Geneva Fireworks

Hello. This is our first year in Geneva and we are excited about going to see the big fireworks display this Saturday. Can you all share some practical info please. Is it really impossible to find parking in Mont Blanc and other big spots- how early should we go?
Any other sitting down and watching options? We will be with two young kids...
