We are a gay couple living right now in Baden. I am Asian and my partner holds a EU passport. We have been evicted from our apartment from our Swiss landlord, after he knew that I wanted to live in the same apartment my partner rented. He sent twice the cancellation for the lease agreement. The reason is that my partner had not told him that he is homosexual. And more astonishingly, because I have no Swiss/EU passport.
It is a long story but I will keep it short. We seek help from schlichtungsstelle in Baden and they were helpful. However, they could not help us keep the lease agreement on because my landlord insisted that we should be evicted in spite of the effort the government has put. We are DESPERATE. My landlord questioned my nationality and my sex orientation publicly. Nightmare doesn't end here. The biggest problem is that, he has been giving a bad reference to all the landlords of the new apartments we have applied for. We are UNABLE to find a new apartment to live in, even though we are allowed legally to stay. It is crystal clear that, his devastating reference mentioned how such big liar my partner has been (for concealing his homo-identity).
I got my master degree in Switzerland and we both work as IT specialist. I cannot believe how one Swiss is able to so boldly traumatize and ruin our future. He discriminated my sex orientation and nationality. His final goal is to evict us out from Switzerland.
Can you guys suggest what we can do to stay on in Switzerland?
