Hello all,
I have been trying to find information inside and outside this forum but can't get a clear answer to what I need, was hoping you could help out.
My husband arrived in Zurich on the 21st of June and started work on the 22nd. Within his first week there he applied for his permit and got a letter to certify that he has applied for it (he is British).
This is the 7th week and permit has still not arrived.
Me and the kids should be joining him by the end of August.
Our eldest should enroll on the first grade of the primary school.
However accommodation wise we had to book a flat through airbnb as he wasn't able to find a permanent one on time for our arrival.
So my question is:
Given that we won't have a permit just yet (we are all european) can i enroll my son to school presenting my husband's application for the permit, his work contract and the airbnb flat details?
I am terrified at the thought that we will have to wait for permits as he will already have the disadvantage of not knowing the language and he will have missed the first two weeks of school...
Anybody with knowledge of how this works or similar experience I would be absolutely grateful.
Thanks in advance
Anastasia
